Carasynthia "Cara" Dune - The Mandalorian Star

As the second season is there, lets meet one of the stars of the series: Carasynthia "Cara" Dune played by Gina Carano (few more words about this gorges fitness model at the end of the post)

Carasynthia "Cara" Dune is an Alderaanian who served as a shock trooper for the Alliance to Restore the Republic and its subsequent government, the New Republic, against the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War. Dune saw most of her action after the Battle of Endor hunting down former Imperial officials who had become warlords. After the Imperial warlords were seemingly gone and the Alliance became more politically organized, the Alliance focused more on peacekeeping tasks such as escorting delegates and suppressing riots. Dune came to regard these as tasks she had not signed up for. As a result, she left the Alliance and reinvented herself as a mercenary, putting her days of military discipline behind her.

Due to her time serving as a rebel shock trooper, Dune is a highly skilled hand-to-hand combatant. During her first encounter with Din Djarin, an accomplished fighter in his own right, she was able to fight him to a standstill. Later, Dune can be seen fighting a male Zabrak in a tavern on Sorgan, winning the fight and causing him to tap out. Dune's small frame often belies her true strength, which she demonstrates by holding Din Djarin in an arm wrestling contest, confidently stating that he could not beat her. During their first encounter, Dune was able to knock him to the ground with a single blow to his helmet.
Carasynthia Dune first appeared in Chapter 4 of The Mandalorian, Her full name and origin were revealed in Chapter 8.

Who are Mandalorians?

While waiting to see the first episode of "The Mandalorian" let's introduce this special race of characters which seems to be quite mysterious in the Star Wars Universe.

Of course, if you are looking for full and precise information, there is no batter place than Wookieepedia (which obviously was also the source for us).

Some people consider Mandalorians as a separate race of people, others consider them as just humans who organized themselves on the planet Mandalore. Whoever they are actually, one thing is certain - they are warriors. Most of us know Mandalorians because of two main characters that appear in Star Wars movies: Jango Fett and Boba Fett (although, it is said, that Jango is not Mandalorian:). Did You know, that Boba Fett was a clone of Jango, who was supposed to raise him as his own son? But we will take care of this story later on in some different post.
