Answer for that was given during the D23 Expo 2019, the Lucasfilm Studio presented Armor of a new type of assault, which will appear in the movie "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker".
"Star Wars IX"-who are Jet Troopers?
Despite presenting "The Mandalorian", which appear i the Disney + platform pretty soon, they did not forgotten about the upcoming premiere of the last part of the third trilogy "Star Wars." One of the elements of the Star Wars panel was the exhibition of Stormtroopers.
Among the well-known types of Stormtroopers, such as classic soldiers, scouts, snow or desert soldiers, two completely new armor emerged. Red belonging to a branch called Sith Troopers, which was first presented during the San Diego Comic Con 2019. The new Stormtrooper is much more reminiscent of the snowy type of Empire soldiers. However, it is characterized by a unique feature - it can fly.
As its name suggests, the Jet Trooper is equipped with a jetpack, allowing it to overcome further distances with its help. It reminds a little of Mandalorian Bounty Hunter Boba Fett, who had a similar backpack. The creators of the new Stormtroader made reference to the conceptual art of Ralph Mcquarrie, who was responsible for the appearance of the characters from the original trilogy.
Madlyn Burkert of Lucasfilm told about a new type of Stormtrooper, that the jetpack is a complementary part of the armor, which is unique. The design of the helmet has elements derived from the evolution of Death Troopers, designed by the creator of the armor of Glyn Dillon, who worked with the costume designer - Mograf Michael Kaplan. The Jet Trooper symbols are similar to the emblem, first seen in the work art of Mcquarri, presenting the Snow Trooper Armor of the "Empire Strikes Back".
We will see the new Stormtrooper in action in a few months as soon as the "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" will appear in cinemas.
Cant wait 😊
